  • Maree Makom is a web archive for an ongoing project led by the Architecture Department in the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. The project encourages civilian documentation of conflicted neighborhoods in Jerusalem.

As part of the project, a group of students and residents documented public spaces and their complex narrative, focusing on two main neighborhoods: Lifta - an Arab village on the outskirts of Jerusalem, and Stern - a street in the South-West of the city.

The digital archive is used as a community research tool. It maps each neighborhood through three main points of view: residence, structure, and environment characteristics.

Created in cooperation with Omer Ziv & Harel Sheniak.
